Windows Vista Beta 2 Available to the Public

June 9th, 2006 Michael Klucher

Yea, I am a little behind the times, but it’s a good milestone and worth posting that Windows Vista Beta 2 is available here. I’ll be giving this a go on my personal laptop this weekend.

For gamers there’s a ton of good stuff in Windows Vista, of course DirectX 10 being the highlight. Some other cool things are available like the Windows Vista Game Explorer which you can see some screenshots of by checking out this link at Only4Gurus.

If you’re a game developer looking to support the Vista Game Explorer you can check out this link on MSDN. If you’re interested in DX10 grab the latest SDK.

Hopefully most XP games will work on the system if you come across games that don’t work on XP that but don’t work on Vista there’s a place to get help.
