Now Boarding: San Francisco to Las Vegas

I’m on my way to MIX ‘10 from GDC, again raking in some miles to get to frequent flier status.

Shawn, Andre, Charlie, Loke, Anand and myself had a great week in San Francisco this week at GDC 2010. We announced XNA Game Studio 4.0, presented several sessions (twice!), and got to show members of the press and people who attended my talk the first look at some prototype games on Windows Phone 7 Series. We also talked a little more about the consumer experience for Games Hub featuring Xbox LIVE.

If you haven’t seen any of the screenshots yet of some of the great games this week, I’ve included a few below. While they aren’t necessarily shipping titles, they really do show off the Windows Phone 7 Series platform and XNA Game Studio 4.0:

“The Harvest” developed by Luma Arcade.

“Battle Punks” from Gravity Bear and Mythos Labs

This week we turn up the volume even more by kicking off MIX ‘10, we’ll have a few more tidbits on XNA Game Studio 4.0 and how you can get your game development on with Windows Phone 7 Series.

More to come…
