Congratulations IGF Student Showcase Winners & IGF Mobile Entries!
I know it seems like all I post about anymore is the IGF competition, but I wanted to make sure to follow up that another two games created with XNA Game Studio made it into the winners circle for the 2009 IGF Student Showcase competition!
- City Rain – Building Sustainability (Universidade Estadual Paulista, Brazil)
- Zeit² (Technische Universität Berlin, Germany)
Additionally, it looks like the entries for the 2009 IGF Mobile competition have shown up online. I happened to catch the single Zune game that’s listed, and also came across some of the games for Windows Mobile and Sidekick. Even though they weren’t created with XNA Game Studio, I still wanted to list them as great Microsoft platforms, so here’s the list of those games:
- Circuit Swap (Zune)
- DropZone (Windows Mobile)
- DUI The Long Drive Home (Windows Mobile)
- HotField (Windows Mobile)
- HyperHamster (Windows Mobile)
- Land of Legends (Sidekick)
- Mystic Order 6 (Windows Mobile)
- Snowboarding TNT (Windows Mobile)
Again congratulations to both of the student teams, all the winners of the Student Showcase, as well as the entries for IGF Mobile. I look forward to checking out the games at GDC 2009!
